The black horse is lakotas mate, shadow, son of the generals horse, the general who captured spirit, Shadow was born in a stable, the general caught a gray and white horse and bred her with his black horse ,demon, he had escaped after the stables caught on fire due to the generals cigars, his mother also escaped, he ran through the canyons and valleys, he looked back and saw his mother wasn't following him anymore, she disappered, he ran with his head turned back trying to see where she went, but he had all of a sudden bumped into a yellow and white, blue eyed mare that was just a bit younger than him, she was mad at first but then fell in love.
