Can you feel the love that drove him to his death? Do you lock your heart the Savior in an emergency? O look up to the cross, where Jesus is victorious rank, where he defeated death, sin, and every enemy. O give the farewell to the world and give him your heart, take the dispenser of mercy in real pain of penance. O look up to the cross with dankerfülltem sense. He sits at God's right hand, there was there himself. Yes, Jesus, now gekrönet in God's glory, is all those who believe him, salvation and justice. ________________________________________________________ O blick herauf zum Kreuze, wo Jesus für dich litt, wo Er mit seinem Blute, für dich den Sieg erstritt. Kannst du die Liebe fassen, die Ihn trieb in den Tod? Willst du dein Herz verschließen dem Retter in der Not? O blick herauf zum Kreuze, wo Jesus siegreich rang, wo Er den Tod, die Sünde und jeden Feind bezwang. O gib der Welt den Abschied und gebe Ihm dein Herz, ergreife den Erbarmer in echtem Reueschmerz. O blick herauf zum Kreuze mit dankerfülltem Sinn. Er thront zu Gottes Rechten, der dort sich gab dahin. Ja, Jesus, nun gekrönet in Gottes Herrlichkeit, ist allen, die Ihm glauben, Heil und Gerechtigkeit.
